Form Cues

  • Lie down on a bench, belly facing down with the head sticking out at one end

  • Optional: Place a weight plate in front of you with a rolled towel

  • Place the plate on the back of your head, using the rolled towel as cushioning

  • Hold the weight with one or both hands to secure it in place

  • Start extending the neck to lift the head up, squeeze at the top

  • Slowly lower the head back down, securing the weight in place

  • Only go as high and low as you are comfortable in your neck

  • Look up slightly at the top, but avoid overextending the neck
