Form Cues
-
Set both cable pulleys to a position slightly above shoulder height and attach a D-handle to each.
-
Stand between the two cable towers, facing outward.
-
Grab each handle with the same-side hand so the cables pull your arms inward across your body.
-
Start with arms out at shoulder height, elbows bent at about 90 degrees, forearms pointing toward your head.
-
Extend both elbows outward simultaneously, straightening the arms out to the sides.
-
Keep your upper arms parallel to the floor and stationary throughout — only the forearms move.
-
Squeeze the triceps hard at full extension.
-
Control the return, letting the cables pull the forearms back to the starting position.
-
This angle emphasizes the lateral head of the triceps.
