Form Cues

  • Attach a rope handle to the high pulley of a cable machine

  • Stand facing the machine, step back to create tension, one foot slightly ahead

  • Grasp the rope with a neutral grip (palms facing each other)

  • Keep your chest up, core braced, and a slight lean back for stability

  • Pull your elbows back and outward at roughly shoulder height, driving them behind your torso

  • Focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together at the end of each rep

  • Hold the contraction for a second, then slowly return to the start position

  • Keep your wrists neutral and avoid shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
