Form Cues

  • Sit in the hip thrust machine and rest your upper back against the back pad

  • Place the feet hip wide on the foot plate

  • Position the hip pad securely over your hip crease

  • Drive through your heels and raise the hips until fully extended

  • If needed adjust foot position at the top of the first rep

  • Avoid overarching the spine, instead squeeze the glutes at the top

  • Keep your chin slightly tucked and look forward throughout
