Step one foot forward into a staggered stance for stability

Keep your core tight to avoid arching the lower back

Keep your elbows close to your head and pointing forward throughout the movement

Only move the forearms — keep the upper arms stationary beside your head

Feel the stretch in the triceps at the bottom and give in to it when bending the elbows
