Form Cues

  • Lie on a flat bench with your feet flat on the floor for stability

  • Hold a barbell over the head, lowering by breaking at the elbows

  • Lower the bar to just above or behind the forehead, not to the nose

  • Try to keep your upper arms vertical to stabilise the lift

  • Don't let your elbows flare out

  • Give into the stretch at the bottom of the movement

  • Focus on the tricep contraction on the way up
