Form Cues

  • Sit in the calf raise machine, place the feet on the balls, toes pointing forward

  • Feel free to try to turn out or turn in the feet slightly if this allows a better contraction in the calves

  • Lift the knees via raising the heels, pressing the thighs in to the load pad

  • Avoid lifting the knees using yur hip flexors, keep all the tension in the calves

  • Slowly control the eccentrics, add a brief pause at the top to squeeze for a full second
