Form Cues

Attach a cable ankle strap to a low pulley and wrap it around the top of your foot

Stand facing away from the cable machine, with the cable pulling your foot down

You may hold onto a support for balance

Lift your toes up toward your shin against the cable resistance (dorsiflexion)

Squeeze the tibialis at the top of the movement for a moment

Lower your foot back down slowly with control

Keep your knee straight and your leg stationary — only the ankle moves
