Form Cues
-
Adjust the preacher bench height so your armpits rest comfortably on top of the pad

Plant your upper arms and elbows firmly on the pad — they stay there the entire set

Grip the barbell with an underhand grip, hands about shoulder-width apart

Curl the bar toward your shoulders by contracting the biceps
-
Squeeze hard at the top of the movement
-
Lower the bar slowly over 2-3 seconds back to near full extension
-
Keep your wrists straight and neutral throughout the movement

Do not lift your elbows off the pad or use body momentum
-
Control the weight especially in the bottom stretched position
